Adopt-A-Family For Christmas

Over 600 families apply for the Livingston County Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program.  Come be a part of this wonderful event!

The Salvation Army screens the family or person in need to assess their situation. When you adopt a family, you are asked to purchase gifts of clothing, food, and toys from their wish list and return the items to your assigned distribution site on a Saturday in mid-December. Family sizes vary and consist of children, senior citizens, single parents, people with disabilities, etc. The guideline is $100 per person, which includes a certificate for food. No gifts need to be wrapped.

We do understand that adopting an entire family may not be possible for everyone, but we can work with whatever assistance you would like to provide, such as adopting one or two people from a family or sharing with your neighbors/co-workers or partnering with other interested parishioners. You may also make a monetary donation if you cannot shop, but would like to support the program. You may leave your name at the parish office (810-229-9863, ext. 213), and your call will be returned as soon as possible by a parish volunteer who coordinates this program for our parish. You will then be sent a letter with detailed information about your special family/person.

Volunteers are also needed to assist with planning and implementation of the program. Please contact the parish office at 810-229-9863.

Thank you in advance for your generous spirits!
