The dismemberment abortion procedure is a barbaric form of abortion that is frequently used during the second trimester of pregnancy. Unborn babies between 13-24 weeks gestation are literally dismembered alive in their mother’s womb. Michigan’s Constitution allows the people to initiate legislation through a petition and the Michigan Catholic Conference, in collaboration with Right to Life of Michigan, urges support for the Dismemberment Abortion Ban petition. We are currently collecting petition signatures of registered Michigan voters at our Parish.
OUR BISHOPS AND RIGHT TO LIFE DO NOT SUPPORT THE HEARTBEAT BILL PETITION: please read more in the MCC Official Statement (button below) or in our Advocacy page. Our next signature petition drive after all Masses is Labor Day Weekend. Learn more here.
