sharing based
small groups
Since no one travels alone on the pathway of discipleship, every parishioner is encouraged to join a small faith sharing group in which they are known, supported and loved. These groups offer every member the opportunity to share their life, faith, joys and challenges as they journey together towards heaven. While each small group is unique, simply because of the group members themselves, all groups share a similar format and purpose; hospitality, sharing life conversation, support and prayer.
If you would like to begin a small group…
Great! It’s as easy as extending an invitation to friends, neighbors or other parishioners.
The format itself is simple and informal; a time of hospitality, faith reflection, life conversations, and personal prayer. Additional details and Fr. Mathias’ plan and purpose for these small groups can be read here:
While these groups do not include any content requiring study or preparation, a few resources are offered here to begin with a brief time of spiritual reflection. This time of reflection is intended to lead you into your life conversation with a Christ centered mindset. "Gospel to life and life to gospel" is a Franciscan guiding principle emphasizing this cycle of applying Scripture to daily life and interpreting life experiences through the lens of faith.
