small groups

Sharing based small groups are informal gatherings of 4 - 8 individuals who meet together at regularly scheduled times to share life and faith. These groups meet for prayer, fellowship and support in an environment that offers acceptance, accountability and love as they grow in relationship with God and each other.  Often formed organically with friends, neighbors or other parishioners, they can also be formed when those with a desire to host a small group receive others who have the desire to join.

While each sharing based small group is unique simply because of the group members themselves and their particular season of life,  All groups do have a set format: Hospitality, Prayer, Discussion, Prayer.  While discussion may be prompted with formation material, the purpose is to apply this to our daily lives; our joys, challenges, questions, concerns.

Hosts welcome the sharing based small group they have invited. They lead the meeting by keeping the agenda on track and the discussion relevant.  There is no need to be theologically versed or have experience leading groups, the only need is to have a heart for others, the hospitality to open your home and the desire to grow in faith and community. 

Hosts may also receive parishioners who are requesting to join a small group through our website. After completing an information form which describes the specifics for the group you desire to host, your contact information would be made available on the parish’s sharing based small group webpage.

If you are interested in joining a sharing based small group, the current groups open to new guests are listed on this webpage under “ Join a Group.”  The host’s contact name is listed in addition to relevant details  to help you discern a good fit.  An email is provided for you to request additional information and join the group.
