Sponsor Accompaniment REquirement
The next major requirement that your child will need to complete is the Sponsor Accompaniment Requirement, which involves meeting with their sponsor for a series of conversations.
The following Overview document explains this requirement and provides instruction for completing it.
Before they begin meeting, your child’s sponsor will need to complete the Sponsor Equipping Class which will prepare them to lead your child through their meetings together. See information below.
Parents are welcome to view the class content for their own understanding, but we expect the sponsor complete the class in order to best fulfill their responsibilities.

Online Sponsor Equipping Class
Sponsors should complete this online class at home prior to scheduling meetings with their candidate. The class is self-paced/can be completed at their convenience. It takes between 1.5 and 2 hours to complete the class. Access to the online class is available in the Sponsor's Guide (see above) on page #3.
tentative Confirmation Mass Dates:
We will not find out the scheduled date until August or September when the Bishop’s office sends out the schedule. We will let you know promptly when we learn of the official date.
Please note: While we typically try to have Confirmation Mass at the end of January, 2 of our possible dates for this year’s Mass had to be pushed back a week to accomodate the Bishop’s availability and some other scheduling conflicts for our priests.
We have recently submitted the following three dates to the Bishop’s Office as options for our Confirmation Mass after the New Year. Mass will be at 6:30 PM on one of the following dates.

Saint & Sponsor Form: We have reached out to families who are missing this form several times by email. Please submit this promptly to avoid further disruption in your child’s preparation: Saint & Sponsor Form.
Sponsor Eligibility Form: After your child submits their Saint & Sponsor Form, the sponsor will receive an email asking them to complete the Sponsor Eligibility Form. Please note: The Sponsor Eligibility Form has replaced our former policy of collecting Sponsors’ Baptism records for Confirmation prep. You do not need to provide us with a copy of your sponsor’s baptism certificate, anymore. Instead, we need the Sponsor to complete the Sponsor Eligibility Form. Instructions are available on the first page of the document linked above.
Candidate Baptism Record: Additionally, we need your child’s Baptismal record. The only exception to this is if your child was Baptized (or received First Communion) at St. Pats. Otherwise, we need you to submit a photo or scan of their Baptism certificate here: Submit Candidate Baptism Record. If you do not have a copy of your child’s Baptism certificate, you’ll need to request a copy from the parish where they were baptized.
