Save the Date: Marriage Celebration Dinner & Dance (Feb 12th, 2022)
As you know, our core value of Unconditional Belonging captures both our value of family and our value of belonging to the parish as a family. Because we value the family so strongly, our Marriage and Family Life ministry is hosting an evening in the PLC to celebrate the beauty of marriage and to honor husbands and wives for their faithfulness, sacrifice and witness to the sacredness of marriage. Tickets for this beautiful and fun night out are $75 per couple. Semi-formal attire is required. There are limited seats available, so register here. More information to come.
Restored This Saturday at 7:30pm In the Church
I’ll be presiding at Restored on Saturday and I thought this would be a good opportunity to remind people of this powerful evening of praise. This adoration event with fellowship afterwards is for those of us who need to be restored and refreshed by Jesus’ love. It’s both for those seeking God and for mature disciples who want to enter his presence to seek his heart. If you’re seeking rest and peace after the holidays, come and allow the Lord to love you.
Happy New Year!
Last year was a difficult year for so many of us and was a blessing to so many. As we begin this new year may we remember always that God is the source of our blessings and that as we follow him more closely he aligns us with his purposes which are good. He’s already overcome sin and death and it’s up to us to come into agreement with him so we can bring his blessing to others in this life which is often so filled with suffering. I pray the Aaronic blessing from today’s first reading over every parishioner:
The LORD bless you and keep you!
The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!
The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace! (Num 6:24-26)
There is a powerful song version of this blessing here. If you’re struggling right now, play this song and sit in God’s presence and ask him to bless you.
I pray that the Lord bless each of you richly in this year of 2022 and may this be a year of discovering ever more deeply the intense and personal love that God has for you.
Your servant in Christ,
Fr. Mathias
